Attorneys throughout the county were asked to select peers whom they deem are the best within their practice areas and whom they would seek out for particular legal needs. DataJoe checked and confirmed that each published top vote getter had, at the time of review, a current, active license status with the State of New Jersey regulatory board. If they were not able to find evidence of a lawyer’s current, active registration, he or she was excluded from the list . . . any lawyer who has been disciplined for an infraction by the State of New Jersey regulatory board was excluded from the list.”
  • National Trial Lawyers Top 100 - Awards are conferred on more than 100 lawyers in America. The organization confers the award on 100 attorneys in each state; some states may be divided into regions, with 100 attorneys receiving the award in each region. The award is not given to “America’s Top 100 Attorneys”; it is given to “America’s Top 5,000-Plus Attorneys.” The award is conferred on at least 100 lawyers per state, not 100 lawyers in America.
