Alexandra Gallo received the Peter Perlman Service Award from The Litigation Counsel of America (LCA) on October 14, 2022. The award was presented to her by LCA Executive Director and General Counsel G. Steven Henry at the 2022 Fall Conference & Celebration of Fellows held at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego, California.

The award recognizes LCA Fellows who give back their time and resources to society to improve the lives of others. 2013 LCA President Peter Perlman stated, "The profession of law not only allows us to advocate on behalf of those whose rights need to be protected but gives us a platform to improve the quality of life for those not engaged in the legal system. The betterment of society, the environment, and our way of life, improvement of the positions of people who have faced challenges outside their control, and effecting change on behalf of those without a strong voice are all causes we should take on as professionals as we work within one of the very pillars of our government. The practice of law is what we do, but our opportunities to protect and defend transcend the profession."

Ms. Gallo uses her extensive and robust knowledge of the law to serve her community by serving on the board of numerous charitable organizations, including the New Jersey State Bar Foundation, the Adler Aphasia Center, and the Lucy & Eleanor S. Upton Charitable Foundation. She also serves as a Commissioner for the New Jersey Commission on National and Community Service, whose mission is to support the growth and development of volunteerism throughout New Jersey. She volunteers as a mediator for the Essex County Probate Early Settlement Panel and the Morris County General Equity Early Settlement Panel. She routinely serves pro bono as court-appointed counsel and guardian ad litem to indigent litigants in estate, trust, and guardianship matters. Ms. Gallo is committed to assisting women in furthering their careers, particularly with her leadership of the Women of OS.

The LCA is a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers, established to reflect the American bar in the twenty-first century. Fellowship is highly selective and by invitation only, where fellows are selected based upon excellence and accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation.
