OS Partner James DiGiulio will be a speaker on Misappropriation of Client Funds, the Recent Supreme Court Cases and Attorney Trust Accounting—How to Avoid the Mistakes that are Endangering the Careers of Experienced Lawyers on November 18, 2021.
The program will discuss instances where attorneys unintentionally misappropriated clients funds and were subsequently suspended or disbarred, and the importance of understanding how to appropriately account for client funds. Mr. DiGiulio will participate in the law and ethics portion of the program, discussing recent New Jersey Supreme Court cases on this topic and outlining how to handle allegations of misappropriation of funds. The second part of the program will focus on attorney trust accounting and audit preparation.
