On September 30, 2025, a Middlesex County jury returned a “no cause” verdict in favor of OS’s client. The plaintiff had alleged he sustained serious personal injuries in a motor vehicle collision that required multiple surgeries resulting in partial paralysis. The plaintiff alleged that OS’s client was careless and reckless in his operation of a commercial vehicle. In addition to damages for pain and suffering and punitive damages, the plaintiff sought more than $10,000,000 in economic damages. Plaintiff testified he has not been able to stand or walk following a post-accident surgery in May 2023.

OS was asked to take over as lead counsel after trial began due to sudden illness of the client’s lead trial attorney. Craig Compoli and Ed Ryan jumped in mid-trial to lead the efforts. Our lawyers effectively cross-examined Plaintiff, who testified in the courtroom from a hospital gurney, cross-examined plaintiff’s expert witnesses, and put on the client’s defense. After more than three weeks of trial, the jury returned a verdict in favor of our client.

This outcome highlights the Firm’s deep roster of skilled trial lawyers who are ready and able to meet all courtroom challenges even on an emergent basis and deliver outstanding results.
