Since the start of his legal career, Mr. Paez has concentrated his practice in civil litigation. He has represented residential and commercial property owners, corporations, contractors, public entities, and insurers in a broad spectrum of legal subjects, including premises liability, automobile negligence, product liability, toxic tort, construction defect, construction accidents, and insurance coverage matters.
Mr. Paez is no stranger to the courtroom, handling all facets of litigation, including arbitrations, mediations, jury selection, and successfully litigating two bench trials. His broad experience makes him uniquely suited for developing risk management strategies and tailoring defenses to achieve client-specific desired outcomes.
Before joining the firm, Mr. Paez gained valuable experience working on various matters on both the defendant and plaintiff sides of litigation. Working on both sides of the aisle has given him insight and perspective to relate with opposing counsel through shared experiences.
Mr. Paez’s fluency in Spanish has allowed him to connect with clients and the fellow community. He did so with the Community Health Law Project, a non-profit organization representing low-income people with disabilities. He also offered his time with the Volunteer Lawyers for Justice, advocating for those facing collection actions and landlord-tenant proceedings.
