Stephanie Mishler has extensive litigation experience that positions her to address clients’ needs in a variety of practice areas.

Ms. Mishler regularly counsels clients in all phases of litigation, from pre-suit investigation, through discovery, depositions, motion practice, settlement negotiation, mediation, trial, and appeal. Her practice includes complex commercial litigation and general liability defense, as well as sexual abuse, negligent hiring, retention, and supervision. She advises clients in risk mitigation and litigation strategy, with a focus on achieving the client’s objectives in a cost-efficient manner.

Before joining the firm, Ms. Mishler served as a Senior Assistant District Attorney for the Kings County District Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn, New York. She investigated and prosecuted a wide range of violent felony offenses, financial crimes, and misdemeanor offenses. Ms. Mishler handled all aspects of felony jury and bench trials, hearings, grand jury presentations, witness preparation, discovery, plea negotiation, and sentencing. She also supervised other Assistant District Attorneys regularly.

During law school, Ms. Mishler was awarded Best Brief and Best Oral Advocate in the law school’s Appellate Advocacy program and served as a member of the Appellate Advocacy Moot Court Board. She also served as a student attorney for the Immigrants’ Rights and International Human Rights Clinic, where she counseled clients seeking asylum.
